Christopher Parkening is celebrated as one of the world’s preeminent virtuosos of the classical guitar. Parkening’s performances, recordings and collaborations, which have included artists such as Kathleen Battle, Renée Fleming, Placido Domingo, Josh Groban and composer/conductors John Williams and Elmer Bernstein, have received the highest worldwide acclaim. A frequent soloist with leading orchestras, Parkening has performed at the White House and appeared on 20/20, The Today Show, The Tonight Show, Good Morning America and the Grammy® Awards. Parkening has recorded extensively for Angel/EMI Classics, and has received two Grammy® nominations.
Jubilant Sykes is a Grammy-nominated baritone and classically trained vocalist who draws on gospel and jazz influences in his performances. His unique gifts have taken him from such diverse stages as the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Opera Berlin, Carnegie Hall and London’s Barbican Centre to the Apollo Theater, Hollywood Bowl, New Orleans Jazz Festival and hundreds of other venues around the world. He toured and sang with Julie Andrews, appeared as a featured soloist on the televised tribute to Brian Wilson and with Josh Groban and subsequently Carlos Santana at the Hollywood Bowl.
